Sunflower Supra...

For my grandmother's birthday last year, I made her these sunflower cupcakes. Another recipe from Hello, Cupcake!, they have an Oreo cookie for a center and M&Ms for ladybugs.



The petals are make with colored frosting piped on through a leaf-tip frosting applicator...or whatever the correct term is. The grass is made with a different tip that has a bunch of holes it it. (I wish I knew some correct terminology here....Be glad I'm not your brain surgeon.)



These cupcakes are a little special to me because I made them for my grandmother's last birthday. A few months after this, she passed away. I think I get some of my cooking skills from her...she was a wonderful Jewish cook and made everything from matzo ball soup to noodle coogle to, of course, cakes. Of course, she loved everything I made. Rest in Peace Grandma Marion.
