I made these cupcakes for an end of the year performance in my high school creative writing class. As I walked through the halls with them that morning, everyone I came into contact with was wondering why the heck I brought pasta to eat in the morning. Most of the kids in my class were completely grossed out by them and didn't know what to think, but they were ALL gone by the end of the performance. The recipe if from Hello, Cupcake!. The noodles are just stribbles of white frosting dyed tan with yellow food coloring and coco powder. The meatballs are chocolate-nut balls dipped in strawberry jelly. Eating these cupcakes is really a mind trip - you think you're eating pasta but it's cake. Talk about tastebud overload.
